they did not use these designs in the end but i still
preferred them to the one the client did use.

playstation 3 illustration..

this was a mock-up i did for the ps3 site.
i created the "beatification" machine in photoshop
using various parts of other items, mirror ball,
lava lamp etc. it was never used in the end but
i thought it worthy of a post anyway.

this is a game i designed last year for the school food
trust, it was used as a viral to help raise awareness of
healthy eating in schools. it is a bit of a sonic clone,
but i think it manages to be more than a simple rip-off
by having some of its own unique features. and the
good programming makes it run super fast for a flash
game. cheers

this is a blog i started at the beginning of the year,
it was suppose to feature designs of sexy girls in
mecha suits made from lego (don't ask!) but has
some how developed into just girls in weird
costumes. have a look anyway.

firstly, happy new year to everyone, 2006 seems to have come and
gone in a flash. i have had a nice start to the year so far by
having one of my animations played on the large screens outside
a yodobashi store in japan. yodobashi is one of the largest
electronic retailers in japan with there huge flagship store in
akihabara. on my recent trip to tokyo i spent literally half a
day there drooling at the endless array of gadgets and toys..
if only i had more cash:(
the animation was produced by us for yodobashi and should be
showing at all the stores soon. i will place a link up to the
actual animation shortly.

new wrong t-shirt range...

well they are finally here, just in time for winter..
the new wrong t-shirt range. i have done 3 new designs
for the range, all much more 'tame' than the previous
ranges. the shirts are all printed, we just need to
upload them to the site so they should be available
in the next few weeks to buy online. you can also

haven't posted for awhile, been really busy
with work stuff but expect to see some new
games and animations posted soon. this
illustration has been on the back
burner for a while, probably needs a few
more elements to complete it but i am
happy with it as is for the moment :)

bandai game..

bandai asked us to come up with a viral to help
sell there latest toy, they have warehouses
full of them that are just not selling in the uk.
the toy basically nods its head yes or no to
questions you ask it.. all this for 8 quid!

although its target audience is for kids and teen
girls i think its probably older people, with
money, that are going to buy them.

i designed the game to look like it was made in
japan.. very cute and colorful.
overall i am quite happy with the game's look
and its also turned out fairly playable. al, who
works with us, came up with the music which is
awesome but there is a sound off button in the
bottom right corner just in case:)

wrong toy...

as some you may know we have had a vinyl toy in the
pipeline for the last 2 years or so. the whole project was
pretty much stopped in its tracks last year when the toy's
prototypes where stolen from toy2r in hong kong.
since then i have designed a new toy that will be coming
out with another hong kong company called red magic.
the toy will be part of a series called "love original project",
which has a rather ambitious 30 artists contributing.

the toy prototype was shown at the recent taipei toy festival,
the prototype still needs some work but i am really exited about
seeing the final toy. i should hopefully have pictures of the final
version next week so i will post them then. till then here is a
rather doggy photo of the toy ( this is not the final pose ;)

piston junkies now in 3D!!

well finally, after nearly a year and a half, the piston junkies
video is done. to be fair, we did only work on it in between
paying jobs so it took slightly longer than it should have.

stu has done an awesome job with the animation and the
music by long range, nick smith & phil hartnell (ex. orbital),
has worked out brilliantly. overall its been really amazing
watching the transformation of my flat, 2 dimensional
designs into a vibrant animated 3d world.

this is a quick character i threw together
in my spare time. it's a bit of a lazy approach
as i just mirrored the image (slack i know :)
i am quite happy with the way the line work
turned out, using flash to draw in is always a
bit hit and miss with line quality.

i drew this up in flash to use as a t-shirt
print for our wrong range of clothing.
we might have to use a digital print method
as there may be a few too many colors for
traditional screen printing. the new wrong
range should be out in a month or so, i will
keep you posted :)

egg mess..

i originally intended this as an easter card for kerb, but
didn't use it as i wasn't happy with the end result. its very
frustrating when you have a good idea in your head but
the transition to flash does not quite live up to it.
oh well, as my wife says, don't dwell on it too long.. start
something new instead.

hi all, well i have finally done it.. my very own blog!
